Today has been a great day considering the outing we went on. I got brave and decided to take the kids swimming to the Monticello Community Center. I thought this might help get some of the pent up January energy out. It was a long process getting into swimming diapers and then swimming clothes, but in the end it was really fun.
Jake loves the water. He lays on his belly of the baby area and claims to be "Nemo". Its really quite cute! Izzy was really enjoying herself until she lost her balance and went completely under the water. It was like slow motion, I could see the horror on her face when she knew she was going to fall. I rescued her, and she was done with the water from that point on.
Since we've been home, both kids are very tired. I think my plan worked. It was $7.00 well worth it. It might be our new activity for those days when I can't take the chaos any more.
Way to go Stephanie! How I wish I could go on outings like that with you all and not have to be in school! ha ha
