The house it quiet, all I hear is the hum of the refrigerator and my fingers pecking at the keyboard. Both are napping at the same time! AMEN! I had to stop and think what a precious moment this is in my day. For one reason or another, I don't care that there is laundry to do, dishes to unload and relaod, toys to organize or papers to sort through. All I care about is the silence in this house. I turned the phone off, the radio off, the TV off and closed my eyes and said thank you Lord for this time of peace. But I do look forward to hearing their little feet run around the corner to give me a big hug or to ask for a cookie for the 5000th time today (always with the same answer...later).
I love the quietness for just a moment, just enough time to catch my breath, regroup myself, and get going again. I know we all have these moments at one time or another, but this one seems extra sweet!
Nothing exciting, just thought I would share.
Thanks for sharing, Steph! Those moments are monumental!!
ReplyDeleteYou are very fortunate to know that we have to take time and be grateful for those special moments.

The dishes, toys, papers, etc. will always be there. Use the quiet time to re-energize yourself, pamper yourself, so that when those precious children wake up you will be ready to enjoy them. You are a great mom!
