Another one bites the dust!

I must have the worst luck with cell phones. On Wednesday I was talking with a friend at Caribou and before I left I accidently dropped my phone. When I bent down to pick it up I realized it was now in 2 pieces. It was a flip phone, but now it was separated and completely destroyed.

But because God is way too good to me, he blessed me with some friends that wanted to buy me a new one. I am not one to take handouts so I was totally humbled by the EXTREMELY generous offer. They took me out on Thursday morning on a "Field Trip" I didn't know where we were going. They brought me to a cell phone store and told me to get one I liked. Well, I am bargain hunter so I started asking questions about the different phones. I was outraged by the cost of the phones and insisted we keep looking for a better deal.

This is the part I want everyone to learn. You can buy a pay as you talk phone at Target and simply put your own SIM card in the phone! (If you have T-Mobile). I didn't have to sign a contract extending my commitment to T-Mobile. All we did was buy the phone, took out the smart card, and put in my SIM card. The cost difference was $95.00. The phone store wanted $135.00 for the same phone that I got at Target for $39.99. I think that is insane, and I would tell anyone looking for a new phone, to checkout Target first!
