I am starting to understand the phrase, 'People that say the terrible 2s have not had a 3 year old.'
Jacob isn't 3 until September, but I think he is entering the 3's a little earlier than I would have choosen. He has been acting out the past couple of days. He has been hyper, wild, and non stop talking. This morning, we have had some challenging spots. First, he woke me up at 6:20am. If you know me, this is NOT ok! Then as I was getting them both some cereal, he decided to move his diaper to the side and pee on the floor. I thought I was losing my mind! About 30min later I heard some strange scratching noise. I asked Jake what he was doing. His response was
"I doing nothing, mommy!" I walked down to see that he had tatted his sister with some body art and created some unwanted artistic patterns on our wall.
I have no idea what's happening with him. Can I really handle one more baby? As I prepare and get excited for baby #3, I think it might be the last straw that puts me in the nut house! I hope this naughty stage passes, it's got to, right? But on the bright side, if anyone is looking for a Tattoo artist, I know one that will work for FREE!
so does that mean you will want a break around August 13? Cause I won't have any plans...and I miss those kids (and you and Brenton)! Free tattoos and free babysitting...what a deal.
ReplyDeleteCarrie, I am ready for a break now! But forsure come August 13th!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that is hillarious!
ReplyDeleteOh man! How easy you forget that it really isn't the terrible twos when they are two, it last from two - ? Who knows?! Sorry to not be very encouraging. It might not get easier, but it is different each stage and age! When Jake is three he will be able to be Mommy's little helper and get things for the new baby! That will distract him somewhat. You are amazing to take on three! I'm not always 100% sure about two and they will be 6 years apart from each other! God's in control!
