"I want a beer"

This is the sentence I heard at the grocery store coming from Jacob's mouth. Brenton and Jake were in the chips and pop isle, and I was with Isabelle coming around the corner. The first person I see is a lady smiling and snickering. Then I see Jacob and I hear him say, "Daddy, I want a beer." He was very serious about the comment, what I quickly realized is that he wanted some Rootbeer. We all laughed, and with a small amount of embarrassment, I smiled at the lady, and clearly and loud enough for her to hear, I corrected Jake. "Oh Jake, you mean you want a ROOTbeer."

We all got a chuckle out of it! Kids are so cute!

  1. Stephanie, I think that now you have no choice but to take my advice and stop drinking that stuff around Jake all the time. Kids really do pick up on things from their parents.

  2. Yah, Steph - I agree with BTB, that ROOTbeer can really get to a person if they don't stop drinking it!! ;)
