Jacob was my hero this morning. At 6:15am I slightly moved my body in bed and in a split second a sharp intense pain shot up my neck and down my back. I tried to lift my arms, and I could barely get them to my head. I started to get really nervous, but I started praying. I calmed down, and tried to figure out what I should do. Thankfully Jacob was asleep next to me. (He always wanders down in the middle of the night). Brenton was upstairs with Isabelle (she also woke up in the night). So I layed there for about 45min, not wanting to wake up Jake for he would be crabby the rest of the day. The pain was all over my back, and I was afraid to move, and when I did I felt like I didn't have any control over my neck (I wonder if it's what Andrew feels like?). So finally at 7 am Jacob started moving around so I said, "Jake, I need your help. Go upstairs and get your daddy and tell him I need his help." Jake got right up and ran upstairs, and seconds later Brenton came down to help me get up.
Brenton was a great help, he assisted me up, and then got me a heating pad and another heating pouch to put on my back and neck on the couch. He dealt with the morning demands of all three kids and was sympathetic to all my pain.
8am I got a hold of our friend who is a chiropractor. He got me in for an appointment right away even though he was fully booked (thanks). He adjusted me so I am aligned again, but the pain is not gone yet. I am unable to move my neck to the left and very in any other direction. He says I will need to be adjusted 3 times, and it will take a week or so for the muscles to heal and start getting back to normal.
So, now I need to make it through the day with the kids. I am suppose to be on heat throughout the day so it might be a movie day. One last thing to add to the pain- it was SNOWING when I went to the Chiropractor this morning- YUK! It's not suppose to stick to the ground, but the fact is the same, winter is coming.
Steph - It was fun hanging out with you today. I'm sorry your not feeling well. Hopefully tommorrow will be a better day! Thank you again for the wonderful clothes. I appreciate it.
