It seems that we are in the scary monster phase again, but this time it's Isabelle who is scared of them. She is much more dramatic about the monsters than Jake was (probably because she's a girl). I feel sad for her because she truly looks and sounds like she is fearful of something and sees something. At the moment she is laying next to me on the couch. I put the kids to bed at 8:15p and at 9:00 she was screaming and sweating in her room. Sadly she was in the corner, not knowing where she was. This has been going on for a couple weeks now. Jacob went in and out of this phase quickly so I am praying that she does as well. It's been a great opportunity for us to pray over her and with her everyday, but it's so sad how she screams and starts hyperventilating. During the day sometimes she will start saying something about monsters and then she starts rebuking them by saying, "Monsters, away, I got Jesus!" It's so precious!
I found a good article about this topic, check it out here.
your babies are so cute...like angels lol... did you try putting a nite light in her room so that she sees nothing is there? or mabye if she has a night light it could be shes afraid of the shadows?? my bro is almost 11 and he still doesnt want to sleep alone... oh well good luck
ReplyDeleteI think that it is so AWESOME that you are training your children young!!! I am thirty-two, and I was in my mid-twenties before I learned about not needing to be afraid and that Jesus was always with me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement on the crib issue. I'm not looking forward to monsters. But that is so cute she is rebuking them!
ReplyDeleteI believe Sunday is wide open. What are your thoughts?
It is so great that you are teaching your kids to rebuke the spirit of fear that tries to cripple them. What a blessing it must be to see little Isabelle binding them in Jesus' name!
