I'm walking on sunshine

It's amazing what some sunshine, warm weather, and a nice long walk can do for me! Oh how glorious it is today. After lunch I typically put the kids down for a nap, but today I said we were going for a walk! It was so much fun. Jacob was riding his bike and having so much fun. He would stop at each sewer and ask what it was, and if monsters lived in it. Isabelle was singing, and Andrew was looking around completely mesmerized by all that was going on around him. I on the other hand couldn't stop smiling. The gentle breeze in my face, the snow melting and running quickly into the sewers, the birds chirping, and the sun warming me inside and out. I didn't want to come home, but I knew Jake was on a bike so his little legs would eventually get tired and I knew I couldn't carry him and the big home. As we were walking there was a song running through my head, that I couldn't get out. Chris Tomlin's My Glorious. It was so clear in my mind that I started singing it out loud. There is something awesome about spring. The new life that comes, the warming of the earth, the changing of people's attitudes. It must be God's favorite season, I know it's mine. I know that this warm trend will come to end, but it gives me great hope that it will return soon.
