The race is on... The golf season is underway. I am not normal, I realize that most people don't care about golf, and some would would rather watch paint dry than watch golf on tv, but I love it!!! I love to play, watch on tv, or attend tournaments live. I guess it comes from being in a family of all golfers. We would go out as a family from as far back as I can remember. To start, I would only get to putt, then as I got older, I got to bring another club, usually my 5-iron. From there, we started going to the par 3 course and eventually I was the captain of the high school golf team. I also can't forget that my brother was and is still heavily into golf, so I would get great advice and lessons from him. I'm not very good anymore, it's not like riding a bike, it is something you start losing skill in if you don't continue to practice. It's fun that
Brenton also likes watching and playing, I know that there will not be any objections to laying on the couch Sunday afternoons to see the final round of the current tournament. I get excited just thinking about it!!! We hope to someday enjoy it together in a league or leisurely, when the kids are older, of course. I hope that at least one of the kids get into golf, if not all of them. The whole family could go out and play together- wait... that seems a little pricey, I might need to rethink that thought! This weekend you will find us at home enjoying the
Masters tournament- GO TIGER or Phil!
I'm not into golf! I tried to be when I married my husband. I took lessons, got the shoes, got the whole club set and bag and have never seen a course! I know that's horrible!! My sister lives in Aiken, SC which is only 15 min. from the Master's so I have been to the gate of the Master's course! I would love to see that course though, I hear the landscaping is amazing!! TV doesn't do it justice!
