A blast with my past

Last Friday I hung out with my best friend from childhood. Shannon was in town visiting while her husband is in a fishing tournament. We always have so much fun being together. She currently lives in Michigan, but I am hoping that she moves back to MN soon. We have no problem getting into mischief just as we did as kids. We loaded all the kids (5) into her mom's Tahoe and went hunting for another great friend of ours from childhood. We tracked her down and surprised her! It was great to all come together again after many years apart. Life has gone and changed for us all, but in a instant of being back together, it was like we were never apart. I think of the movie, Now and Then. We are those girls.

The kids had a blast too. They ran, biked, climbed, built, and had fun playing with kids whose parents I was friends with as a kid. That seems crazy! I hope our lives continue to intersect. It's nice to fall back on people that love all of me, no matter what or where life has taken me.
