Because I said so
We are back from a nice long weekend in Michigan and Indiana...more to come. But as we were driving I noticed the obscene amounts that Jacobs says "why?". It seems that everything I say or ask of him comes back with a why. For a while I would humor him and give an answer or reason of why I asked what a did. Now it seems that I can't come up with any other response except, "because I said so". I used to hate that response from my parents, but again, I am understand and see why sometimes that is all their is to say.

On the way home from the cabin Aaron, Graham and I were listening to a podcast and the pastor was talking about this. He said he has a theory that no parent can answer more than three "why" questions in a row. I guess you're experiencing that for yourself. Do you agree- can you only make it through three explanations?
ReplyDeleteHang in there - you're both great parents!
