It's almost been one year since we moved to Northfield. It's hard to believe all the changes that have happened. I was a stay-at-home mom a year ago, cuddling up with the kids in bed, playing games outside, having play dates and squeezing in cleaning and organizing when I could. Now, I am working full time as a teacher in my home town and gearing up for my 2nd basketball season. I am juggling my old responsibilities and mixing in my new ones as well. I am not complaining- I am really loving my job and the new appreciation I have for the time I have with my family. Everything seemed to be calm and just as it should be in God's plan. I was starting to get "comfortable" with our situation and life.
Well, it seems that was the calm before the storm!
We got word this week that our renters in our townhouse in Monticello can no longer afford the rent and will be moving out by Dec. 31st. It really took me by surprise because our renters seemed to really love the place and were making friendships in the neighborhood. We thought we had a great situation. And were so thankful that the Lord had filled this need for us. Now, we get on our knees again, like we did before we left Monticello and ask that the Lord step in and perform yet another miracle for us. We need to try and find new renters or perspective buyers in one of the worst economies during the holiday season time. It almost seems like it's impossible and that we are doomed to pay 2 mortgages (something we are not financially able to do). But, with my husband that is optimistic and holds onto hope, I am going to keep my best attitude hat on, and remember all the miraculous things that have happened so far this year. I know and BELIEVE that God hasn't let us down this far, and I know He isn't going to start now.
Please keep us in your prayers and keep your ears open to anyone that might need a townhouse in the northwestern suburbs of MN.
