My sleep number is 0

I have no idea what time it is right now, somewhere around 4:30am. The furnace just kicked in, the refriderator hums in the backround, and the tiny voices on the Toddler Tunes sings out on the television. MY daughter Isabelle as many of you know has not been feeling well since Saturday. She has been waking up several times at night crying and screaming since then. Usually Brenton does the late shift, but tonight I am doing it. I don't know if it is her ears, teeth or what but it's like I have a newborn again and her temperment is so uncontrollable.

I just got her some water, half the cup ended up on me, that's great...now I am wet and freezing at the same time. Anyways, I am just trying to do something until she gets tired again. I pray it will be soon. I will be back later I am sure. Hopefully after a nap or 2.

  1. Steph, I feel your pain. When Greta was sick about a month ago, I was in the same boat (only we watched Blue's Clues until my brain was numb!) I hope Izzy is feeling better soon. I'll be praying for you and your sanity!

  4. I have to tell you about when Cooper was young, Val was in residency and I was working full time. One night, the ONLY thing that would calm him down was Elmopalooza It was before we had a DVD player, so everytime the video was rewiding he was screaming. As soon as it started back up he calmed down and I got 40 minutes rest utnil it stopped again.

Just remeber, that which does not kill us, makes us stronger.

  5. Elmopalooza! Miles absolutely LOVED that movie when he was young too. He used to wear one of my brother's old ties around and pretend to be David. Thanks for bringing back that memory for me!

  7. Well if there is a light at the end of the tunnel, we saw it last night. Jaclyn hasn't slept through the night since Friday but last night she finally did. And she was even laughing! There is still hope for you yet.

  9. Today I am taking care of Jaclyn while Jason and Janelle take a little break. They went skiing at Welsh Village. Jaclyn is still feeling alittle under the weather but right now she is chilling out on Papa's lap watching T.V. I REALLY... hope Isabelle starts to feel much better. Nana is starting to get worried. I,m not sure how to do sleepless nights.
