So today at lunch I asked Jake if he wanted to pray for our food, his first response was a typical 2 year old...NO... but after I explained to him, that we need to thank Jesus for our food and then I went on and on and on he started praying. It brought tears to my eyes. I glanced over at him (as I was teaching Izzy to keep her hands closed) and he had his cute little head bowed down, his hands folded and his eyes so tightly shut that his eye wrinkles were starting to form.
It seemed like a really long prayer, but still very sweet. Here is how it went...
"Dear Jesus, thank you for our food, and our day and family, mommy, daddy, Izzy, Brenton. Thank you for Devin coming over, Linus coming over, Miles coming over, Luke coming over, thank you for all our friends, (Some mumbling I couldn't understand) and some more friends were listed off. Ummm thank you for family and Izzy, and Amen".
The cutest part is that no one came over today, but he is still thankful for them coming over other days. It's so great to see Jacob grow up and learn more and more each day! Way to go Jacob, I know Jesus heard your prayer.
Jake, you are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is so precious! Everyone here at Bethel had so much fun with Jake and Izzy last night! They were great-thanks for the pizza too!
