We've got a puker...again!

Well, it's official Jacob is trying to set a world's record of number of times to puke in a single season. I think he is at 7 now! Last night he made his way down to our room coughing loudly and forcefully. We let him lay down with us for a minute and then it happened, first he woke his sister up, then he was coughing so much we got to enjoy the puke at 3:00 am in our bed! YUCK!

Then today as Brenton and I were running some errands in Maple Grove he fell asleep in the car. I ran into Chipotle to feed my addiction of a steak bowl and a diet coke fountain pop. When I came out Jake was covered in easy cheese puke. I hate to be graphic but it was everywhere on him. We quickly pulled him out of the car, Brenton started cleaning the car seat and I attempted to clean Jacob off as much as possible. I kept pointing at his shirt saying "Mommy there is more to clean" Finally I just took his shirt off and he stood outside the car without a shirt on, people thought we were crazy. We needed to get him some more clothes, but as the worried mom that I am thought I needed to take him to the Dr because he has had this cough forever. So we had 20 min to get to the Dr. We were at least 15 min away. We decided that we would just get him clothes after the appointment.

We went to the Dr with a child without a shirt on, it was classic! The Dr's were a bit concerned and asked if we wanted a blanket, but Brenton wrapped his leather jacket around him. I guess it's just a virus and nothing can be done. We just continue to clean up the puke!

Then Jake wanted to eat some McDonald's and we did and he fell asleep in the car holding a chicken nugget! What a cutie!

  2. Stephanie,
My family, which includes 4 wonderful boys, have recently been visiting the Quarry. I have enjoyed reading your blogs and the amazing amount of passion that you have for your children. I have 4 boys all 2 years apart, they have all been "pukers" at some point. I can tell you that it gets much easier when they get old enough and they can make it to the restroom. I have a son, Jacob who is 7, and your Jacob stories remind me alot of him when he was younger. I hope your puker is feeling much better. We will be praying for him. God Bless!
