Today was day 2 of the garage sale. It was a windy day and our signs kept getting blown over or falling down. Andrea and I went out about 5 PM to check on the signs and make sure people were seeing them. When I got out to fix the first sign, my ankle twisted, then I stepped down on it with all my weight, and then heard 2 popping sounds. I could barely walk. I was doing that half laugh, half wanting to cry thing. I hopped around for a while trying to shake it off, but it immediately began to swell and became very painful.
Really what else could happen these days? Not only am I 8 months pregnant and chasing 2 toddlers in the hot weather, now I am a limping large pregnant woman chasing kids around. Yikes, what a sight! :)
Thanks Daryl for forcing me to ice it for 15 minutes, even though I wanted to use some choice words with you about the pain. Thanks Daryl and Amy for dinner, and Thanks Brenton for allowing me to stay off it by giving the kids a bath so I could rest, and for wrapping it better than any trainer or doctor ever could. Hopefully with all these people looking out for me, I will be running circles around my kids and doing cartwheels again- Doubt it, but I will hopefully be back to normal.
Oh my goodness! I KNOW that feeling! I did that myself a few years ago, and, wouldn't you know it, just did it again this week! Ice is GOOD...keep it up and you'll be walking agian in no time!
