For my birthday my parents got me a gift certificate to get a Pre-natal message at Spa Bella Casa. What a WONDERFUL treat! I went today to receive my pre-natal massage. It as great. The whole day was great! Brenton had the day off, so he spent some quality time with the kids, and he gave me the day off. I left early to run some errands, then went to get the massage, and finally stopped and talked with my great friend Emily.
As I walked into the spa I was thinking this was very weird. The place was a little dark, there was a fountain that made me have to pee, and everyone was talking in this low whisper. I felt sort of out of place. I am not use to going to places for relaxation, I am used to going to loud playlands with kids.
They escorted me to the "lounge" or waiting area where there is a locker room type room, but it was much nicer than a locker room. There was a hot tub, steam room, and showers with all the amenities to get yourself ready after a shower. In each locker there is a robe and slippers to use. I was really early so I decided to put my feet in the hot tub. I thought I lost a layer of skin when I put my feet in, it was SOOO HOT! I only sat there about 10 min because I was starting to sweat. I was trying so hard to not think about the kids, and just relax! You would think that would be an easy thing to do, but I don't know how to relax. Finally they came to get me in the lounge. We walked through the dim, hallway, and into this room to get my massage.
The massage was great! I was relaxed, and thought that the hour went WAY TO FAST! Now I am home, and Brenton is getting some dinner prepared. I love days off! I am convinced that I do not want gifts of things anymore, I only want gift certificates to get my hair done, or get massages.
Thanks Mom and Dad for the great gift, and thanks Brenton for giving me the day off. It was really nice to get away and be alone. Spa Bella Casa or any spa place would be fun to go to with some girlfriends, or just a spouse, but I really enjoyed and needed the time to be alone without feeling like I needed to talk. If anyone ever wants to go, let me know!

ReplyDeleteSpa Bella Casa is right next to my work! You could have topped the whole day off with a tasty DQ Blizzard with your sister in law! Next time! By the way, I hear great things about that place. It just opened in the past year or so. Yes, a day to yourself here and there is more of a blessing than you think!
I am so happy you finally went to the spa. I knew you would really enjoy the relaxing time away. I was just thinking how great it would feel to spend some time at the spa after our recent move to our new home.
