Taking 2 deep breaths

It's one of those days that seemed too good to be true. I was getting some house work done, while the kids were playing upstairs together, laughing and having a good time. I was sorting laundry getting another load ready to be washed then cleaning the kitchen, and picking up in other places. I was pumped because I was getting so much done and the kids were occupied. Usually they want to play in the area that I am in, so this was a real treat.

All of a sudden I had that bad feeling that things were going too well. So, I walked upstairs to find Jacob and Isabelle having "Art" time in their room with some yellow highlighters that they got off the desk in the loft. I had to take 2 deep breaths before I unloaded my disappointment on them. There is yellow EVERYWHERE! On the newly painted white dresser, the toys, walls, windows...everywhere. I guess my husband will get his wish of painting their room!

I should have known it was too good to be true. Why do I think I can keep the house nice and clean, and let those two play in the house.

  1. It's never a good sign when it's too quiet upstairs=)And I can relate to the yellow highlighter, as well.

  2. Don't get discouraged with the artwork. Yellow markers left in
a childs reach is living dangereously. Mom and Dad made the
mistake so it looks like we have
    another room to paint.
