Funny story about the airplane ride- There is a lever you need to pull back to make the plane go in the air. All the other kids understood this, but Jake didn't know the first time he went on, so everyone else's plane was in the air, and his was riding along the ground. It was really sweet. We couldn't help but laugh the whole time. The next time on Brenton told him how to make it go up, and he did great!
What a great Sunday we had with some very close friends. First, our family went to church together, then we headed to Bloomington for an afternoon filled with IKEA and MOA (Mall of America.) Two places that I love to go, but rarely do. We wanted to find a play table for the kids so we went to IKEA. We were unsuccessful finding what I wanted, so we bought the kids $0.50 hotdogs for lunch and headed to the Mall. You can't find a meal cheaper than at IKEA.
The MOA is a great place to test out ones Myers-Briggs type. It's been almost 2 years since I've been to the MOA, but I LOVE that place (I love being around people and in places with alot going on). My husband on the other hand hates the MOA (too many people, noise, chaos, etc).
We met up with some of our former college roommates (Jon & Emily Towey) for lunch and then the park(Formerly, Camp Snoopy). For those of you not from MN the there is an amusement park in the middle of the mall that's called "The Park at MOA."
Jon & Emily had 4 unlimited ride wristbands that needed to be used by the 12th, so they blessed our kids with 2 bands, and Brenton and Jon use the other two to accompany them on the rides. Emily and I got to watch, laugh, talk, and take pics. It was SUPER fun! It's a great park for kids Jake's age or older, they have a lot of fun kid rides. We hit them all, some of them a couple times. Jacob & Isabelle had a WONDERFUL time. They were wiped out by the time we left. Jacob was asleep in the van before we got out of the parking ramp.
Thanks Em & Jon for a fun day- it was so great seeing you both again, let's not wait too long to do something again- we love you guys!
That picture in the Rio Grand car just cracks me up. Brenton looks like he's in deep conversation and the kids are just like...wooo fun ride. :) Looks like you all had fun.
