I do not claim to be very political. I vote because I believe it's my responsibility as a US citizen, but seriously can anyone agree with me, that campaigning commercials are the most annoying thing on earth right now!? I don't want to the hear the lies and allegations of any more politicians. My vote is that people running for office are NOT allowed to make commercials accusing the other party of what they do wrong or will allegedly do wrong. If they want to make a commercial, I want to know why I should vote for them. I want to know what they are going to do, how and what is on their agenda for their time in office. I want them to stop tearing the opposition down, and start building themselves up.
We all know and can agree that neither party is perfect in what they plan to do or what they have done. I hope these commercials will stop being so finger pointed. I think the candidates should use the air time to brag themselves up, rather than tear the other down. Use the times in live debate to point out the wrongs of the other person. Allow them to defend themselves and make their arguement for why they've done what they have. I feel like the commericals are cheap sucker punches. Maybe I am way off here, but I want to see the positive side of people. I want to know the good they've done, and plan to do and more importantly I want the TRUTH! I believe if you are best qualified for the job it will show.
I completely AGREE with you! I have a hard time watching TV now just for that reason. I really don't watch that much TV to begin with, but it is definitely ANNOYING!!!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on this one! Not one commercial actually says what that candidate WILL do, which would be helpful for obvious reasons. Yesterday we got an oversized postcard of a candidate with his family. Nothing about why to vote for him. I guess just because he takes nice family photos? Crazy stuff. At least November is almost here!
ReplyDeletePreach it! I can't wait for the politician who only talks about his/her strengths...that's it. No negativity. No manipulation.
