I've had it! I never want to return to Wal-Mart ever again! I don't why I think that it will be better each time I go there, the truth is, I hate Wal-Mart. First, it NEVER has all the items that I need. Second, the layout of the store is ridiculous! The food is on one side, and the bathroom and personal hygiene needs are on the complete other side. When I am carting around three kids, I need everything in the same area. Third, does anyone else hate that the isles are filled with junk everywhere? I am constantly hitting my cart on things or weaving back and forth between things. Finally, I recently got Andrew's one month photo there. It was a stressful situation because the photographers don't make a strong effort at making the kids smile. Anyway, the package I got for Andrew's pictures was the perfect amount. So, I made an appointment for Jacob to have his 3 year picture taken. This whole episode is what put me over the edge to never wanting to go back to Wal-Mart. Here is the short version- After spending 45 min trying to get a picture of Jake (a 3 year old) not moving his body, sitting up straight, and giving a half sincere smile it was time to pick the package that I had gotten with Andrew. We sat and waited at least 10 min while she was occupied with other things. Then I told her what I wanted, and that's when my blood pressure about boiled over. She told me that they don't have that package any longer, it's the same amount of pictures, but they are mostly wallets. I needed 1 10x13, 3 8x10, 2 5x7 plus some more (this was all in the original package). The new package was 1 8x10, 1 5x7, and some other small pictures. In order to get all the pictures I needed I would have to pay $10.00 a sheet! Anyways, I guess the saying is true, you get what you pay for. Wal-Mart might have some lower prices, but the quality and availabilty is LOW. I can't wait till the Target is open in Monticello- I will never have to step into Wal-Mart again!
Thanks for letting me vent!
Sometimes I think I could get a better deal at Walmart, but you're right - the stress isn't worth it. I'd much rather go to Target, even if you do spend a few cents more. But they did just start giving you coupons upon checkout (like the grocery stores do). How is it that you live in MN and don't have a nearby Target?
ReplyDeleteNo Target? You should have mentioned this before so we could be praying for you. Glad to hear God is bringing one your way. As evil as Wal Mart is, we'll all be back. Somehow they always get us to return.
ReplyDeleteOr you could talk to the manager at the Monticello Photo place (if you care that much not saying I would necessarily)...he is my relative and he has gone to the Quarry a few times. His name it Joe and he is a great guy. But I do hear what you are saying....
ReplyDeleteI hate Wal-mart too! I agree - they have way too much stuff in the aisles - I feel so crowded in that store! I agree with Ainsley that yes, I could save a few cents, but I love and prefer Target!
