A Brief look back at 2006

Change...That is the word that I would describe 2006. It was a year that will not be forgotten. It was a year filled with change. Change seems like such a simple word, but to me it holds so much meaning. Many people are afraid of change-the unknown seems so scary. We and I become comfortable with situations, places and relationships that we are in. Some would rather be in a bad situation rather than have to endure going through a change. I have learned throughout 2006 that change is much easier if I don't rely on myself to handle or control the change. The changes I have endured this year have come as hidden blessings. Although there were tears of joy and tears of sorrow shed, God has been more than faithful in revealing himself in every changing situation. I hope what I remember about 2006 is that I had to release control of my life and allow God to change my circumstances rather than trying to change them myself. So now that know that God brings good out of joyful and painful change- I hope that God never stops changing me!
