Craigs list?
I am in the market for a laser printer. However, I do not have the cash flow for a new one. I have heard people talk about listing or purchasing items on Craigslist, but I don't know much about it. I found some really nice printers for great prices, but I am afraid to get scammed. So, I am wondering who has used Craigslist? How does the system work? What are some helpful hints to purchasing something from it? Here is the printer I am inquiring about. Do you know anyone that is selling a laser printer?

We haven't bought from CList..but I know MANY people who have. A couple we know pretty much furnished their entire house on CL. My bro and sis-in-law bought their couch and loveseat on CL also. Everyone I know has had great luck. You just need to do your research with the person you have found. We almost bought a Rainbow system last month on CL. Just call the person you are intrested in buying from and talk to them.
ReplyDeleteI buy a ton of stuff on craig's list. And I've sold stuff to. I like it because you are in direct contact with the seller and 99% of the time you have to drive to their house, pick up the product and hand them the cash. Only be worried about scams if the seller is asking you to send money in advance, wants you to wire money, etc. Most legit sellers will only take cash (not even checks) and most sellers want you to pick up the stuff. Plus, if you get to their house and what you are buying looks like a piece of junk you can always say no.

P.S. it's a great way to find cheap kids clothes. People sell bags of clothes for cheap. Way cheaper than Target :)
Joel just traded a car hauler trailer for a brand new alum. one. Even trade - no money exchanged. Joel had to drive to Grand Rapids, but it was a good deal!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried it - just browsed!
Thanks for all the advice! Keep it coming!
