To my friends I left in Monticello- I happened to come across this song from a book I am reading. When we started moving away from all of you, I didn't know how to express my feelings or reasons I wanted to leave. I think I did a poor job of expressing myself during that time because I was so sad to leave but so happy at the same time. This song I believe has the right words that I wish I would have expressed. The lyrics made me tear up... friend, I miss seeing you so much! But I have to say, even though we don't get to see each other that often I still feel close to you. Maybe it's the blogs, emails and occational random cards, I don't know. What I do know is that you would be one of the first people that I would call with good news or bad news. I think of you every day and pray for your family and for our friendship. I love you Steph!
ReplyDeletewe just miss you, friend. but the good thing about our christian friends is we don't have to see each other everyday to know we're with each other forever. we miss having you in our community, but part of me knows somewhere we'll have that back, whether that's here or in heaven...but an earthly bonus - we get to see you tomorrow!!! And even though we know you're happy where you're at, it's not in my nature to let that be... so i'm still going to harass you.
