USA! USA! USA!

(L-R) Cullen Jones, Jason Lezak, Michael Phelps and Garrett Weber-Gale pose with the gold

Brenton and I enthusiastically were up cheering for the US Men's 4 X 100 Freestyle relay. It was the most exciting swimming race I've ever watched! The US Men were the underdogs to France and as the final man got in the water they were a full body length behind, but Jason Lezak swam with everything he had, and they beat France by literally a fingernail- it was SO close! I'm sure you've seen the replays all over the media, but it was incredible to watch live! I was literally cheering in our bed and we were giving high fives as if we were there celebrating with the team, it was so exciting- Nerds, I know! Wow, I love the Olympics and can't get enough!

  1. Love your blog but can you get rid of the annoying fireworks sound? I love fireworks too but that pop pop popping has got to go:)

  2. I guess I'm a nerd too! I was actually up watching it - trying to get ready for bed - and couldn't believe my eyes as he stretched to the finish!! Incredible!!

  3. That was pretty sweet, especially after the French were talking smack. I was so pumped, that I couldn't sleep for over an hour.
