Happy Birthday to Jacob

5 years ago today-the 3 days of labor came to an end, and we finally met our first born- Jacob Thomas Balvin. With so much to learn and look forward to, we were so excited about having a baby boy. He was a great baby! He had a head full of hair and he immediately stole our hearts and changed our lives. We were young foolish parents who knew absolutely NOTHING! I remember us looking at each other when something would arise, and we ask each other, what to do, and we would often laugh because we were both clueless. We still are young and often foolish, but I can say we have learned a lot over the past 5 years.

At 5 Jacob has big important places to be (riding his bike in the cul-de-sac), so I wasn't able to get much out of him for out little interview, but here is what I got from him.

Favorite color- Blue
Favorite food- Pizza
What do you want to be when you grow up- A super Hero like a Ninja turtle

There it is, my son aspires to be a reptile.
Jacob, you changed our life for the good, and have continued to be a joy. You love being with friends and other people always. You are so compassionate towards others and yet can be all boy jumping off things at the same time. Happy 5th Birthday Jake- We are proud of you and love you so much!
