Having a tight budget this year for Christmas, like many other people, I had to get creative with where and how I got the gifts I got. I have heard and seen others find great deals at Marshalls and T.J. Maxx, but to be honest, I have never shopped at either.
I was surprisingly very impressed with them, especially with TJ Maxx. I had no idea that there were so many name brand things there with such a huge markdown. I didn't find anything for myself, but I wasn't looking- I was focused only on children, however, I found Brenton some Nautica dress socks and a black bottom up shirt. I thought TJ Maxx was a little cleaner and more organized, so I will forsure visit there again. Marshalls (in Richfeild, MN) seemed cluttered, chaotic and I couldn't find anyone to help me. It could have been the location, but I think I still prefer TJ Maxx. Also, at the TJ Maxx I visited (Burnsville) there was a Hom decor store attached and if I had more time, I think I would have really liked finding some treasures in there.
I love when I find new places to go and find a deal- if you're like me and have never ventured into either of these places, I highly recommend them. It's like thrift shopping with the guarantee of finding something stlyish, brand new, and name brand.
STEPH!!!! if I would have known you were never introduced to those two stores I would have done the honor YEARS ago!! They to are my favs! I find the best gifts there, too. Especially for kiddos. Glad you like them!
