Well, it's another day of dealing with a 2 and half year old! Although, this was a lot of my fault, and less Jacob's. I was taking a shower while Jake was napping, and he woke up during my shower. This has happened before, and he will just play in the bathroom in sink or something. Well today I had a cup in the bathroom of water, and Jake loves playing with cups in water. I told him he could play with it, hoping that would lengthen my shower time.
Well, Jake really was playing nicely, but my hot water ran out so I had to get out. While I was in the shower I heard that I got a text message and the phone rang once on my cell phone. So, when I got dried off, I was looking for my phone to check those messages and I noticed it was floating in the cup...filled with water...in the sink...filled with water. Oh bummer!!!! Jacob was very cute by telling me, "Mommy I clean it!" He had a big smile on his face like he had done something really great.
So, now I am without a cell phone for the screen is filled with water, and the battery and SIM card are drying out, but at least I have a clean phone now.
Steph - Trevor did the same thing. Put all the pieces of your phone in the oven (don't turn it on!) for a day or so. The arrid nature of the oven may help dry it out faster :)JW
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty cute-although probably not at the time! I like reading this and hearing these stories-I miss you all!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, I will for sure try it, since thins morning the screen was still filled with water!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for these types of moments in motherhood! A test of faith and patience, for sure, but so precious...and great ammunition for when the kids are older.
ReplyDeleteBTW...JP used to be a cell phone repair guy and knows all the tricks for water damage. If your phone's not working yet, I'm sure he could fix it!
