Favorite's #3

Starting sometime in college I became addicted and dependent on sleeping with a fan in my room. I think it all started my junior year when I roomed with this man's wife. I do believe she is the one who, for a Christmas gift, got me my first very own fan to sit next to my bed. My husband thinks I am nuts for having to have the fan on, but unlike him, I can't fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow. I take it with me on trips as well. It folds right up and I know that I will be able to sleep no matter where my head might lay. It takes me some time to let my mind unwind from the day and go through my to do list for the following day. Finally after 30 minutes, sometime longer, of laying there I can fall into a deep rest. The reason I love the fan is because it provides that white noise that I need to block out all the other sounds in the room or outside- we live with a back yard full of trees, the birds wake up way too early for me to enjoy. In a way it helps me focus too. I enjoying having it on while I am reading, again because I don't get distracted from the area noise and in the summers and especially while I was pregnant, it helped keep me cool! Some people need complete darkness or complete silence- I need white noise! Let me know it you are with me on this one?

  3. Oh yes, fans are a must. Now we have a ceiling fan that is silent, so we had to invest in a white noise machine. Byt there must always be a fan.

  4. I’m with you on the fan! When Dan and I were first married, my fan drove him crazy but after seven years he has to have it too! I also take our fans (the kids each have one in their room) with us on vacation :) Can’t sleep without it!

  5. Oh yeah, gotta have the fan, at least I do. I'm like you Steph, I get distracted easily, while Amy takes about 3 sec. to fall asleep
